We have installed Faxmaker for Network/SMTP on a windows 2000 server and try to use it with a Multitech MT5600ZDX modem.

Sometimes, the faxes we receive are "cut", I mean that on a 3 pages fax for ex., the first one is ok, the third one too, but the second one is "cut" in the way that we have only half of the page of 2/3 of the page. The strange thing is that there is no disconnection and faxmaker see the transmission as a success.

Does it could be the line, but I don't think so because it works well with the old fax machine plug in it. I have tried with another software (VSI-fax server) and it does the same ? That's very strange...even the multitech support has never seen that !!!

Does anybody has an idea or does anybody that used Faxmaker can give me a feedback on the way it works in their environement. Thx !

Have you tried a different manufacturer's modem to see if it is something unique with the MultiTech? I've seen some modems that didn't finish the final page on every connection, but never one that didn't properly get a page in the middle of a fax.

If the modem is external, I'd try to attach a serial analyzer (or just "Y" the serial cable) to the modem and capture a connection. Faxes are transmitted as TIF files, so you should be able to take each page out of the capture individually and view them.
