Faxing out through desktop with Unified Messaging

I have a BCM 400 3.7 I can receive faxes but cannot send through UMessiging
max outcalling channels 2 via PRI
I tried giving the user a line pool, route and line for their mailbox but no go

any ideas would be great

It's only dialtone-VZ
 
Do you have LAN/CTE installed on the PC sending the faxes? Just a starting point

no I only installed unified messaging I saw nothing in the docs about installing LAN/CTE but thats probably what I'm missing if LAN/CTE is needed.

So LAN/CTE is needed to send docs outside the company?

no, LAN CTE is not required for unified messaging.
try to set outdial type for mailbox to "route
 
Also make sure your voicemail ports (active application DN's) have access to the line pool you are faxing out, such as bloca if using PRI.

steeef is correct - faxes have to go out via routing, not through line pool access. You'll need to have the appropriate route/destination codes built as well.
