faxing on MM 5.2

having probs with incoming faxes on a new mm 5.2 install. some are received fine, others are either not received, or a vm wav file with just the fax beep is heard. bp is working on prob, but it has been a couple weeks and not much progress yet. anyone else have issues like this?

All the time. Most of it has to do with the SIP transport and or the sending fax mach. And you can't do much about it. If the sender is using an IP PBX and then it is converted a few times before it gets to the MM it can't render it due to degradation of the fax.

most of these are actually in-house faxes sending to an in-house fax mailbox. some machines are successful almost every time. some are almost never successful. the only way i can get any consistency is to forward the fax mailbox number off-net back into itself.

sip integration. soon as i heard that term, i didn't get warm fuzzy feelings about my fax mailboxes. we had them setup on an intuity box for years, with minimal issues.

Have them check the network regions to make sure they are all set to G7.11 otherwise it will not work right for a call terminating to MM.
