Does anyone have a programming document of what needs to be programmed on a BCM 450 to make it work with the BCM 450? I've looked and can't find anything.

If your faxes are coming in as DID's on a PRI, you will need an Adtran Atlas in between. It would probably be cheaper to use the Fax Server in the BCM.

Bluemr2, this is not something I can program using just a SIP trunk? The company sent me a programming guide for the CS1000, but obviously that is no help.

If the server allows SIP trunks, I don't see any reason it won't work.

Is the Adtran still needed if a SIP trunk is being used? What is the purpose of the Adtran box?

The BCM has no ability to send digits to the fax server via an analog extension interface. Therefore the fax server wouldn't be able to tell what DID the caller actually called into, so wouldn't know what fax box to send the fax to. The Adtran would connect between your pri and both the fax server, and bcm. It can strip the fax DID's and send them to the server and send the DNIS digits so the faxes would go to the correct box. I never connected a fax server with sip trunks, so I'm only speculating here, but since it is a sip TRUNK, you should be able to set up routing that would send digits to the server. IE for a fax number of x8888, you could create a destination code 8888, create a route that is sent to the SIP trunks, with an external number of the fax box you want the fax to go into. Again this is speculation, but logically it seems like it should work.
