I have an Avaya on CM 5.0 with G450 Gateways, when a large fax comes in, over 2 pages the call disconnects before the full document is recieved. They are on PRI DS1's

post the IP-codec page for the Network Region that the Fax extensions are in. You probably need a tweek to the ip-codec set.

AvayaTier3, hunterrob has a G450, he would need to do this:

telnet or SSH into the G450's PMI, then:

"set sync interface primary v4" (if your DS1 in in slot 4 for example)
"set sync source primary"
"show sync timing" (to see if you are now syncing off the PRI/T1)

don't forget to do a "copy running-config startup-config" so the changes happen on the next reboot/powerdown

Check page 2 of the codec set. Are faxes and modems set to pass through or relay? Should be set to pass through.

PRI/T1 synchronization, and the IP-Codec set FAX settings are the 2 things to look at, yes. This is why they have both been mentioned already :)

Thanks, did that will monitor to see if it helps

Thanks Mitch. You can tell that these new gateways are not in my area of expertise and I don't usually respond for things I know nothing about.
