Hi.

We have two routes in the PBX, our own interconection and PSTN Lines from other carrier.

But when we try to send Fax Calls using our interconection, the transmition is interrupted in the middle of it.

But when we send the Fax Calls using the PSTN Lines of other carrier the calls are completed succesfully.

Our own interconection is using the route below:
PBX --> Router Cisco Gateway ---> NexTone Softswitch.

Have you some recomendation or Tips to can send Fax Calls using our own interconection (We have in the router Cisco: Fax t.38 9600).

Thank You.

At the DSEL prompt in the route data block you can try 3VCE. That may help.

on the cisco you say you put: Cisco:

Cisco: Fax t.38 9600

is the 9600 part reflecting a max or min transfer rate?
if min then it could be the fax is xfering quicker & the call being dropped?

Check and see if your network guys have voice compression on the Cisco network. Or have the Codec's set for a lower protocol.(G 711, G 726, or G729). I had problem before with fax's and need full non-compressed voice or G 711.

that should be a problem as T38 rolls the codec back to G711
