Is it possible to send fax's using an ISDN line.
I have Win XP installed and have tried to set up the fax software, but it only gives me the option of using the modem (not ISDN).

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi there,

I have this same problem. Did you manage to Fax?

What are you using to connect to the ISDN line with?

If your using an ISDN TA they normally come with installation software which creates a "modem" for the ISDN line.

Then all you have to do is tell your FAX software to use this modem.

Hope this is of some help to you both.

Thanks Bob.

I'll have a look at the software. The Dell engineer who installed the computer and the ISDN thing?(It may be a terminal adapter, it may not) couldn't make the Fax stuff work. Maybe he didn't install everything.

What is the make and model of the "ISDN thing?" Perhaps we can determine then what the needs are.

This is definitely a terminal adaptor. Your computer would in effect treat this as it would a regular analog modem. BobW333 seems to have the right idea. Also make sure that the ISDN provider allows fax calls over their lines.
