hello all,

I am guessing I am not the only person with this problem. I have a g3si r7.1 and Intuity Audix. we have a widespread problem of employees receiving fax "spam" constantly. What is the best way to prevent this garbage from being dumped into my audix users voicemailboxes? Is there a setting I can change in Intuity that could prevent data messages? Is there a way to block these once identified? Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to handle this problem?

thanks much

Do all the voice mail boxes need to be able to get a fax or data file? Are you using message manager? Wisdom is Knowledge

All mailboxes do not need data messages. If there was an easy way to specify which ones could use data (faxing) and which ones could not, that may be an easy solution. I looked in the options on Intuity and did not see a specific setting for this, though I didnt know EXACTLY what I was looking for.
I have approximately 25 people, including myself, who use message manager, though mostly just for the graphical voicemail interface. However, we do have a few specific boxes that we utilize just for customer account specific faxing, so I guess I cant just shut data off. I am curious how other people handle this uninvited soliciting. Email is bad enough, but now our business seems to be flooded with unwanted and uninitiated fax garbage.
My second part of my questions concerns how I might go about blocking certain numbers once identified through the switch. I have read all the posts here on it I could find and none really pertain to me because using vectoring is not necessarily an option for this. I tried controlling this through the trunk groups forms, but it did not block the numbers at all. This is a PRI isdn line. What other info should I supply to help find a solution?

I had the same problem. I did some research and found that the calls were coming from a company called
I called Jimmy (949-916-6521) at this company and told him to take our DID’s off their list. The spam stopped almost immediately after calling him.
