Is there a way to change the fax answer options when printing from a fax-mailbox? An older fax machine being used answers after 6 rings, but the Octel gives up after 4. The fax machine will not answer in less than 6 rings.
Look in menu 1-1 and change the number of rings for on PBX calls used for outcalling. This should take care of it.

Thanks for the tip Ken. I think the problem is that the fax machine actually answers the call, but since it provides the "fax ringback" for 5-6 ring cycles it causes the timeout [since the Octel thinks the call was answered on the first ring].
I think the best option here would be to trash the fax machine and buy one that actually answers calls!
