Ok, I have a weird one. I have a site that had a MICS with a PRI. I recently upgraded the site to a BCM 400. The problem I am having is with the faxes. Several of the fax machines cannot receive large multi page faxes without dropping the calls and taking sometimes 30 - 45 minutes. The thing about the site is I have a FEM in the BCM and am utilizing the existing fiber ASM from the old MICS. This was not a problem with the MICS. Only now that it is on a BCM platform are they having this problem. I have done the 3.6 cum. patch but this did not solve the problem. I can connect a analog phone to the ports and it works fine. I put an ATA on a digital port and connected that to one of the trouble fax machines and it did not help. I opened an ITAS case but Nortel was not a lot of help. They had the fax machines services and of course the fax/copy guy said they were ok. Trouble with the FEM? Trouble with the PRI slipping? Anybody have ideas?

Did you try a different fax machine?

the bcm had some known issues, but if you have the latest patches then it might be something else

Check your clock setting on the pri. Make sure it is set to Primary.
