Fax modem.

One of our clients wants to use a logosoft fax system, i've never heard of them, but apparently they just use microsoft fax which connects to a fax modem, which is connected to a trunk.

Anyone got any experience with anything like this? I'm think just sling an analog trunk card into the 500 and connect the fax modem to that, then it can make use of the ISDN30 channels.

Or am i better of just getting an analog trunk installed an bypassing the IPO altogether?

And point out he obvious error....


In short, MS fax is primarily outbound (at least it doesn't do inbound routing) So run it through the IPO

I try not to! I try to use dedicated fax cards - which pushes the processing onto the card and away from the computer...

well this is my problem. i would typically go with a dedicated fax server solution connected through an S08.

For some reason this customer wants to go down this route, i think the people selling it are pushing hard, but seem unable to answer any of my questions.
