Hello, I gotta new SBS2003 build/install using a generic external modem. Upon any reboot, the fax service will not send or receive faxes. When trying to send, faxes sit in the outbound folder w/ status of Pending. When an inbound fax comes in, the modem answers the call, but it's like the fax service never connects after the call is answered. It's almost like there's another process or service that grabs the modem before the fax service can grab it.
If I go to Device Manager and disable and then enable the modem, everything appears to start working. The faxes in the outbound queue begin to go out one-by-one and I think faxes are rec'd (haven't tested this quite yet).
Has anyone heard of this b4? I'm wondering if a generic modem is the issue. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
