Fax answer doesn't require a keycode, though. That'll send faxes detected by AA to an analog port that you can connect your machine to.

No when I go through the manual , it is saying that for sending fax imaging tool must have in the pc.

The imaging tool is only used for setting up a new hard drive for replacement or as a backup. Fax has absolutely nothing to do with the imaging tool. If you want fax answer, just configure the analog port where you want faxes sent. If you want fax messaging, you have to purchase a fax messaging authorization code from a Nortel partner.
