Hello all, I am trying to set up a new Fax mailbox on my Octel. I set it up, add the station in my Avaya 8700, but when I call the station the main greeting for my company starts playing. The mailbox itself never picks up...why?
I am going to assume that in the Octel system you are using FLT-A cards or APIC cards that emulate the 4 wire digital phones. Do you have the extension number somewhere within the first 15 characters of the station name on the 8700? The Octel system is using the name field to gather integration information.
What station number are you using? What type of ports are connected to the Octel from the PBX? If you look at your station in the PBX does it have your ext number in the name ?
