I have a PRI feeding my Cisco Voice Gateway. I have a four port FXS card providing an analog line for my fax machine. The fax machine can send faxes, and the line will ring to the fax machine. I can pick up with the handset and complete calls, so I knwo the signal is getting there. The fax machine will not pick up incoming calls though. We have checked auto-anser, and we have put three different fax machines on the line with the same results. One of the machines was test from a seperate line outside of the office just to make sure it would pick up, and it did. Any help is appreciated.

I have had fax problems from day one.
I finaly was told by a fax tech that most need 90 volts to pick up. Cisco routers and ATA devices only supply 48 volts.

I laughed at him but after installing ring voltage boosters I have had little trouble.

Boosts Ringing On:

Telephone Lines
Analog Station Ports
Analog ISDN Ports
T1 Channel Bank Ports
VoIP Adapter Analog Ports
Any Device that provides a Port for an Analog Telephone

Hope this helps.

I had no idea. I will give this a try. Thanks much.
