Is there a "virtual printer driver" to print to fax through an Asterisk system?
Evidently, we didn't make ourselves real clear talking to the sales person when we said "fax from desktop". I was just informed "Oh yeah, you can do that through the Extension Portal... just attach a PDF or TIFF file and tell it the number.
NO... that's not what we wanted.
We want to be able to do File --> Print --> Phone Fax (or some other virtual printer), then have it ask us for the phone number, then send it. From any program.
I don't want my users to have to print to PDF, remember where they saved it, log into a portal, attach it, etc. etc.
Other phone systems (NEC for example) have this as part of their Unified Messaging. I can't believe that Asterisk doesn't have a way to do this...
