I don't know if anybody will know the answer to this but I can't find any better forum to post this on. We have a Ricoh 3700L which does not pickup any calls when dialed. It just keeps rining. the machine can send faxes fine, but just never picks up when it receives one. I've forwarded the DN onto another fax machine and that fax receives the calls for this machine fine, so obviously the problem is with the machine itself. Does anybody have any idea what may cause this, is it something simple or is it a hardware problem?

Fax does not pickup

Most likely is that the machine itself is not programmed to auto-answer incoming calls or the programmed number of rings until answering is set too high. I would remove the machine and place a regular set there and see if you can receive calls. If so, then the problem is definately in the fax machine.

Yea I've already put an analog set there and it can receive calls no problem. After I posted this it occured to me also that it may be something to do with auto-answer. I'll have to find the manual to try to program it then.
