You will also have to put your DID in the IDC table and convert it to another DN (NON-DID), then build that DN as a Phantom forwarding to the new CDN. In CP place both the NON-DID and your DID in the mailbox.
So the call will come in through the IDC and go to the Phantom which is forwarded to CP, if it detects Fax Tone it will stay in CP but if it doesn't it will come out of CP and go to the DID DN on the phone.
