I have no experience with 500 sets and have this problem.

When fax DN 7107 is dialed/ringing, the telephone number to a shop phone DN 7442 also rings. When DN 7442 is dialed/ringing, the fax DN 7107 rings as well.
When the shop staff are talking on their ext. 7442 they can hear the fax machine ringing and buzzing in their ear. When there is actually a fax coming in, the shop staff has a ringing telephone and must stop their work to get to their phone to ensure the call is not for them. It seems as if these two extensions are some how connected.

The set configurations are below. The 7676 is the number for our voice mail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This looks like a wiring problem. Have you checked the cabling to make sure they are not crossed somehow?

No, I haven't had any cabling checked, guess that's the next step.

chances are the tn for the sets have a jumper that is one pin down, with the old style cab, those to tn's are on consective pairs, either that or the connection on a tie cable, you'll find a jumper that is split between the ring of one tn and the ring of another.. a good clue is to ask youself the question, could i program a station to do that?,, if you answer no, then it's not going to be software.
