fax 4200 bauds why

i have bcm 400 with pri and received the fax with asm 8 but recieve very slow 4200 bauds why

dont know about the baudrate of fax - but it will be slower than directly connected to a CO

theoretical max. transmission
asm - 28kbps
phoneline - 56kpbs
