Favorites tab in the help system (ACT 2007)

Hello,

In the help system, there is an option on the view menu for favorites. It does not seem to work for me. I'm expecting to see a favorites tab appear so that I could bookmark help pages that I want to refer to. Does the feature work like this or am I missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the version is ACT 2007 standard
steps
1. help --> help topics.
2. view --> favorites, then nothing happens

i'm sorry that I keep leaving out these details.

Normally, there is a Favorites tab in the Windows help... for some reason, it has been compiled without this tab.

I guess it's a Microsoft bug that the menu item is still there

Hmmmm, are you saying that the reason that the Favorites tab in ACT! 2007 doesn't work is because Microsoft didn't compile the tab in Windows? That doesn't seem quite right to me, because I don't see what the Favorites tab in ACT! has to do with the one in Windows. I thought that because they were 2 different software packages, that they worked mutually exclusive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The help system is actually a Microsoft file... who ever wrote the help at Sage didn't add the Favorites area to the compile (it's pretty worthless anyway) and Microsoft's code should know that means to leave off the menu.

Ok, now I understand what you meant Mike, by the help file being a Microsoft file. Yes, the developer at Sage left it out of the compile.

I don't have a need to use the Favorites option. I was just curious why it wasn't working. See, I told you I wouldbe a good beta tester. I leave no stone unturned (smile).
