Favorites Opens in different browser

Okay, I've lived with this for quite some time now, but it's beginning to really get under my skin. >:-<

If I have two or more instances of IE (6.0) open at the same time and I click on one of my favorites, occassionally, it will open in the one of the OTHER browser windows. It doesn't happen all the time. It's VERY bothersome, though, because I may lose the information that I was using in the other browser when it changes pages.

I just want IE to open my favorite from the windows in which I select it. Is there something wrong with my installation, or is this just a setting that needs to be changed?
