Hey all,

I have just started in a new job and the domain controllers they have were all NT4 systems upgraded - not clean install - to Win2k . We have an exchange 5.5 server on win2k which they would like upgraded to Exchange 2003 which they have already purchased.

I have been told there are some problems with the active directory installation, but I want to leave building an entirely new domain controller and AD as a last resort.

What I am asking is : is there a tool that I can run over my AD installation that will let me know if it is functioning correctly or if it has problems and needs repairing?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Cheers

Brad

You can run dcdiag on the domain controllers to make sure everything is up and running correctly. You may also want to run netdiag. Both of these tools are part of the windows 2000 support tools that you can download from MS
