I work a lot with text on photos. sometimes the perfect font is just a little too heavy (fat) or thin for the situation. Is there a plugin available tospecifically address this problem?

Or maybe you can suggest another solution from within PS itself?

if you can sample a color similar, then you could do a stroke and tell it to goto the inside. Then that will lighten up the font. But it would be best to use a font with a varty of weights.
