Fatal System Error - Database is unreachable

I am intermittently getting this error message when opening Crystal XI on my Getting Started Page.

Fatal System Error -- Database is unreachable -- please email this message to webmaster.

I am not having any problems that I am aware of but was just wondering what might be generating this error message.

I was getting this same error most of last week, having never had an issue before.
But now it seems OK. I haven't done anything at this end, I presumed it was an issue at the other end, now resolved.
