Fatal server error !!!!

Hello
it makes a while that I fight with the distrib Red HAt 7.2, to put on Xserver, without result!!!!! My video card is an Elsa Gloria XL, who was recognized at the time of Linux installation, as well as my ecran (Dell: Trinitron). At the time of the starting up, already it not launches Xserver automatically while I specified, furthermore, the registration of login root flash! I manage all the same to connect root and the blinking disappears. There I tap startx, and an error message appear, always the same, and here is the important lines:
( EE) No. device detected
Fatal to server error:
no screens found
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) one X to server " 1.0" to after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
Here I am, I am desperate!!!!

Hi,

Well clearly your XFree86 config has got errors of some sort. Easiest on redhat is to run the 'Xconfigurator' command and go through the X setup process again.

If you want to default to X see this -->

I tried to configure Xserver with Xconfigurator, and no result !!!!!! Furthermore, the soft regonize the chipset of my graphique card and I found exactly the model of the screen. But always an error message : ... problem in configuration of programme X (

You might try to verify or query your Xfree86 packages and see if you have any problems. If there are problems, you may have to reinstall them. Something funky is going on here.
