I have a problem after synchronizing my palm I get a fatal exception error when trying to boot up the palm device. It appears that something has corrupted the OS.

At first I thought my Palm died so I purchased a new PDA phone (Sprint/Samsung Model SPH-i500). After installing the new Palm Desktop software and sync'ing, I now have the same problem on my new phone.

I checked for virus problems but Norton did not detect anything.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? More importantely, does anyone one know how to recover from this?

Thanks

Did you try uninstalling the palm os first? I had something that wanted to keep getting installed from an old palm os, and it kept blowing away the os, giving me the fatal exception error. Uninstalled all the palm stuff from my desktop, reinstalled it, did a sync and all was well.
