fatal exception error - 014F:00001206

class building new atx system. using athlon, slot a - triple fan, 512 mbs, 10 gb drive, all typical items, etc.

Can't boot - cmos seems correct - one beep - goes forward - stops at blue screen with fatal error message - program will be terminated - error code - 014F:00001206. Class needs help on this. I have troubleshooted tthis from the bare minimums. HELP!!! lenhotkowski@hotmail.com

I would suggest start swapping parts. Start with RAM, then CPU and then motherboard.

Change the RAM and try.
I also got this eror many time after a long exprience & R&D i got this solution.
