I use Autocad 2000 and I get fatal errors while typing text. I got the same errors in 2000LT. I downloaded all of the updates/patches from Autodesk. I also called the tech support line. Nothing seems to work.
Tried reinstalling CAD? if you have really personalised menus and stuff, save the .mnu file and then reinstall and put that file back in again over the new one, if you can find it do a search on your local hard drives for *.mnu
There is no real explaination for this error.....although the one odd thing is that it happened on both LT and the full version..?? Do you have both versions still on?
If not, for reinstalling, Id recommend you do an Uninstall first, and then completely delete all acad files, including the Autodesk Shared folder, (again do a search for it) then Install ACAD again. It seems long and a hassel, but might be the only way to go? you just cant tell with those Fatal Errors... Jay~
I had LT on another computer and when I got a new computer I installed the full version. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It doesn't happen all of the time. it is only need to type alot of text. Could AutoCad be having a conflict w/ other software? I have no trouble on Windows 98
