Dear all,

There's a palm m515, PalmOS is: Palm v4.1P.

Recently I just downloaded WebToGo and had installed on the Palm515.However,when I try to click on the bookmark to access Internet, it gives me Fatal Exception error. I thought it might be the application and I went to download and install EudoraWeb and it gives me same error as well. I need to press the Reset button at the back to reset the Palm.

Pls advise.

By the way, how do I do a hard reset of the Palm (all data on palm would be gone)?

Do I need to reinstall the Palm OS on the Palm? How do I do that?

Thank you.

Regards,
libroos

There is no upgrade for PalmOS on the M515. You have version 4.1, and that's it.
You can review the instructions for this product at
Instructions for hard reset from the manual follow. You do not need to re-install PalmOS on the Palm.

Performing a hard reset
With a hard reset, all records and entries stored in your handheld are
erased. Never perform a hard reset unless a soft reset does not solve
your problem.
Note: You can restore any data previously synchronized with your
computer during the next HotSync operation.
To perform a hard reset:
1. Hold down the power button on the front panel of the handheld.
2. While holding down the power button, use the reset tip tool, or the
tip of an unfolded paper clip (or similar object without a sharp tip)
to gently press and release the reset button.
3. Wait for the Palm™ logo to appear; then release the power button.
4. When a message appears on the handheld screen warning that you
are about to erase all the data stored on your handheld, do one of
the following:
Press the upper half of the scroll button on the front panel of the
handheld to complete the hard reset and display the Digitizer
screen.
Press any other button to perform a soft reset.
Note: With a hard reset, the current date and time are retained.
Formats Preferences and other settings are restored to their
factory default settings.

I use Avant Go to browse selected internet sits. It works well for the few sites that support it. Whenever I hotsync my Palm powered device, new content is copied to my handheld. But I cannot browse any site live.

Do you want to browse live? You would need a network connection, via a radio of some kind (or while docked, but if it's docked, why not use the computer to which it's connected.) What kind of radio do you contemplate? WiFi? BlueTooth? Cellular?

Best suggestion: Start a new topic in this forum, calling it something like: "Need recomm. for best Web browsing from Palm devices." Then explain what you want to do, and what are your constraints. Do you have to stick with the M515? Do you have a specific radio in mind, or are you willing to buy one? What web sites do you want to visit?

Meanwhile, check out PalmOne.com and see what their current offerings do, like the Tungsten and LifeDrive models. Do any of them have the features you are looking for?
