I am a complete LINUX newbie and attempting to explore this world by myself without much guidance; hope that the gurus will help, and humor my ignorance.

I want to baby my way into the LINUX waters with a pseudo LINUX that installs happily onto a Windows FAT32 file system, and save an actual LINUX distro for my new machine (probably for X-mas, yay), so I get a little playtime with my old, dying warhorse before committing.

Does anyone have any experience with WinLINUX? How about other alternatives? Any advice appreciated.

Thank you, everyone.
