Hi all,

Recently we have obtained a Fast600 for testing, we installed to FC adapters , in direct attach to the FastT
Cables are attached :
fc0 -> controller1
fc1 -> controller2
When we do a lsdev we see the following :

dac0 Available 1H-08-01 1722-600 (600) Disk Array Controller
dac1 Available 1V-08-01 1722-600 (600) Disk Array Controller
dar0 Available 1722-600 (600) Disk Array Router
dar1 Available 1722-600 (600) Disk Array Router

fcnet0 Defined 1H-08-02 Fibre Channel Network Protocol Device
fcnet1 Defined 1V-08-02 Fibre Channel Network Protocol Device
fcs0 Available 1H-08 FC Adapter
fcs1 Available 1V-08 FC Adapter
fscsi0 Available 1H-08-01 FC SCSI I/O Controller Protocol Device
fscsi1 Available 1V-08-01 FC SCSI I/O Controller Protocol Device

Normally only 1 router may be found, IBM suggests an rmdev -dl and then rediscover with cfgmgr, but the 2 routers keep re-appearing.
When I do an lspv , I cannot see any logical disks that we have made on the FAST either.

This is the output from fget_config -A :

---dar0---

dac0 ACTIVE dacNONE ACTIVE

---dar1---

dac1 ACTIVE dacNONE ACTIVE

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thx in advance,

greetz,

Remove all the devices, fcs0 and fcs1, dac0 and dac1, and dar0 and dar1.

Do a lscfg -vl fcs0 and fcs1 and check the network address for each adaptor. Compare this with your host port information on the storage manager client. Mostly likely this is not matching. Change or move your ports to the correct network address for the adaptor and run config manager. This should clear it. You should only have 1 dar.

Hi grepper,

Thx a million, works like a charm !
