FASTT battery canister

I got a message saying my battery canister is expired. I entered a call with IBM to change it. But the tech is unsure if we can do this hot or not. He thinks we can but wants to leave it up to me. We've had some problems with the array and the firmware is out of date. I can't wait on my scheduled firmware update.

So, can we do this hot, or do we change the battery canister hot or should we shut the array down?

You can swap the battery hot as far as the other controller's battery is working to back up cache. Otherwise, you can configure the cache as Cache with out battery and change the battery, then disable cache wit hout battery.
