Fastload TAB delimiter

Hi,

I need load the flat file with TAB delimiter to Teradata using Fastload. Does anyone can tell me the syntax for this?

Just key in a TAB as delimiter

BEGIN LOADING ...

SET RECORD VARTEXT " ";

DEFDINE ...

Can I do same way for fastexport? such as

.export outfile test.txt
mode record format vartext " ";

No, there's no Vartext for export...

Cast all columns to varchars and concatenate with the delimiter character.
Then ".export format text mode record"
This still leaves two bytes varchar length in your output, remove it e.g. with an Outmod
