Is there a quick/easy way to copy a details section (formulas and all)? I have a large amount of work ahead of me if not ... I want to copy Details E and make about 30 more detail sections. I really dont want to copy and paste all day ... surely there is a faster method. FYI im on Crystal 9.

Why would you want to do this?

In answer to your question I don't know of any way.

I am embedding an image on each distinct details tab with a specific suppress statement relating to the users ID #. I really dont care to play copy and paste all day to make this happen ... thats why I asked if there is a quicker way. Its much easier changing 30 plus ID #'s and dropping in one image per details tab then it is recreating the same details tab 30 plus times.

If you upgrade to crystal XI you can get different images with a formula. If you stay on 9 I do not know how to help.

In XI, you can right click in the gray area to the left of the details section and choose "select all section objects". You can then copy once, and paste repeatedly in additional sections.

In 8.0, you can manually select each section object, copy once, and paste repeatedly in additional sectons. Not sure what options 9.0 has.

Versions 7 and above support "lassooing" to select multiple objects.

Left click and hold mouse button down within the section on nothing and drag to create the lasso. Ensure the lasso touches all objects you wish to select and then let the mouse go.

This will select all objects touched by the lasso.
