Hello All:

I'm trying to find a way to speed up my cgi. I manager a series of very busy web sites that are cgi and mysql based.

I was experimenting with FastCGI and could not find a way to do both cgi and fast cgi at the same time unless I named the fast cgi stuff with a .fcgi or something different.

Does anyone know how to get them to run together on the same machine with just the cgi ext.

Or, is FastCGI worth it? Is there something better, etc?

Thanks,
Scott

I don't know about FastCGI, but are you using the Perl and/or PHP modules for Apache? Of course, this assumes you're using Perl and/or PHP for your CGI scripts.

I am interested in this also. I have heard about both FastCGI and mod_perl as ways to speed up Perl script execution, and I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has had experience with both.

Any benefits/drawbacks comparisons? [sig][/sig]
