Fast write cache

when I create my arrays, I always turn on fast write and have never had to reboot to enable it. Could the disk already have been part of a VG? I've looked and can't see where you can turn on fast write after the disk has been made part of an array.

How to enable fast cache:
Unmount the filesystems(s) on the hdisk to be modified
Smitty --> Devices --> SSA Disks --> SSA Logical Disks
Change/Show Characteristics of an SSA Logical Disk
Pick the hdisk
Set enable Fast-Write to Yes
Unmount the filesystems(s) on the hdisk to be modified
Smitty --> Devices --> SSA Disks --> SSA Logical Disks
Change/Show Characteristics of an SSA Logical Disk
Pick the hdisk
Set enable Fast-Write to Yes
