I create PDF files using Acrobat 6 Pro, leaving the PDF version as 1.5 with Fast Web View enabled. When someone tries to print the PDF using Acrobat/Reader 5, the print job aborts and a message saying "The document could not be printed" appears.

If I re-save the PDF with Acrobat 6 (or Acrobat 5) and turn off the Fast Web View option, the file prints fine.

Is this simply an indication that our Web server is not compatible with Fast Web View (incapable of byte serving)? Or is something else happening?
