Hi,
I want to move a huge amount of data (e.g 25 mb to 50 mb) from one server to another server. And i don't have telnet access.
Moreover i don't want to stay connected all the time.
Does anybody know a tool that can be useful to me ??
Any help in this regard would be sincerly appreciated..
Eagerly awaiting any response

Thanks/Regards
Great Techno.

I think there's a bit of information missing from that.

What are the options for connecting the servers? How far apart are they? When you say you don't want to stay connected, do you mean you don't want the servers to stay connected? What is the limitation - time / cost / access?

If you're using some kind of dial up connection, the transfer is pretty much dictated by the line. a 56k modem will still take a donkeys age to transfer that, ADSL would be workable, but still probably 3 - 4 hours.

If they're not on the same physical network (which I assume not, or you wouldn't be posting this!) have you thought about using a CD writer to collect the data.

Suggest you describe the servers, what they are connected to and where they are.

Hi,

I happened to come across a site this site may not be perfect but it does serve the purpose of transfer of data from one server to another. And it is unbelieveably fast.
The main problem with the site is that it does not allow you to access your local Hard Disk.
