Hi guys,

A couple of question on GREP

1 - Is there any fast way using Find/Change or GREP to change the CAPITAL LETTERS to Title Letter style (i don´t know if that is the name in English) in a paragraph?

2 - Is the possible at the same time while changing from Capital to Tittle to also change it from Regular to a Bold type font?

3 - Finally, is there any way to tell the Tittle Letter style to avoid putting a capital letter at words like "AND" which always will go on Lower-case style?

Thanks for any info and Cheers,
Sebastian

You can do 1 and 3 using a script, search google for

Copy and paste that text into Notepad (or a similar text editor, NOT MS WORD OR WORD PROCESSOR!)

Save it as a .jsx and put the file in the Scripts folder inside the indesign application folder. You can edit the words you don't want changed in the list of words at the beginning of the script, just follow the format.

As for the text turning bold. You should use PARAGRAPH STYLES. Window>Type and Tables>Paragraph Styles

Create a style and put the Font and the bold into the right area.

I'm not sure how your document is setup so it would be hard to recommend a GREP search.

But you should apply the paragraph style to the headings in question.

Thanks Eugene,

That is a very useful tip for fast workflow!

Cheers,
Sebastian
