Hello,
I've got to move a Merlin for a customer. The new site has eight pin voice jacks that are wired USOC. The brown pair are pins 1&8. The green pair are pins 2&7. The orange pair are 3&6. The blue pair are 4&5. I know this won't work for a Merlin, it needs 568B to work. My question is, can the wiring be tweaked at the 110 block at the backboard to line it up correctly at the far end? The 110 block is your standard Blue, Orange, Green, Brown layout.
Thanks for the help.
Dmac,

You're going to end up with split pairs, but if you insist:

Using a connecting cord from the Merlin that has its plug wired 568-B, and punching the free end down on the 110 block:

(Cord to 110 block)
White/Blue goes to White/Blue
Blue/White goes to Blue/White
White/Orange goes to White/Brown
Orange/White goes to White/Green
White/Green goes to White/Orange
Green/White goes to Orange/White
White/Brown goes to Green/White
Brown/White goes to Brown/White

Tommy,
Thanks for the information. I had a hunch this is what I was going to do. Just wanted to verify first. This saved us a bunch of work. Won't have to move furniture to reterminate all the jacks to 568B.
Dmac,
