I believe 98925327 still is valid with Partner Messaging R1, 6 & 7. I haven't needed to do it lately but I believe it worked with an R1.0 back then.

So it would be the same as a PMVS, right?

That's what I'm saying. I just sold my last one the other day or I would try it. Anybody have one available to confirm?

-Hal

I have a PMVS and a PMR1 but the VS is in production (don't really want to test it on that one ;-)) and the PMR1 doesn't have a port license card yet so I can't get it out of test mode. Otherwise I'd test it :D

The one I was wondering about was the Partner Mail versions (the PC based boxes) I have read about clearing the passwords, but not the whole gammit. Anyone know about those?

On the Partner Mails, you connect through the serial port, use the serial number as the P/W (on the R3's), select the menu option to shutdown, confirm, then press enter or esc twice. Then it's "init" and confirm that you want to initialize the entire unit. Wait until it's done, restart, and volia'

I believe to reset PMVS and the PC card mails the code is 9998925327. Which is different from the partner messaging.

We are talking about the reset code AFTER you log into administration. Naturally the admin mail box will be different for each messaging system.

Yes, that assertation is correct. That is why I orginally wrote the FAQ. So that each piece of equipment had the correct code associated with it. ACS's, PMVS (Partner Mail VS) modules, PVM (Partner Voice Mail) PC-Cards, Partner Messaging Modules, and Partner Mail Boxes (PC-Based).
