As a basic SIP phone, they probably are but that is dependent on a few factors one of which is what you expect from the phone as you will (probably) not be able to program any of the keys so it will work just like an old analogue phone. The other major factor is have you got the licensing for third party SIP phones because if you haven't you can't now get them as the product is obsolete and no longer supported.
we do have an existing nec sl1000 pbx with analog phones, fanvil x3sp will be connected to the nec sl1000 as a regular phone. our nec sl1000 had a nec ip phone before but was damage/broken. been trying to setup the nec sl1000 and the fanvil phone but getting a sip registration failed.
NEC IP Phones are not standard SIP. if the Fanvil is to replace the NEC Ip Phone that will not work. The NEC uses a Proprietary flavor of SIP. Fanvil uses Standard SIP. The 2 phones are licensed differently in the NEC system. If you have licensing for NEC IP Phones that does not mean you have licensing for 3rd party Standard SIP.
