Hello, i have a problem with one fan. the compaq system thinks that 1 fan is death. witch was not true.
after a couple warnings the server was shutdown for some heating problems.
something what was not very handy. :)

it was a redundant fan, so is it possible to prevent that the server will be shutdown when 1 of the 2 fans is defect.

A required processor fan (fan #2) has failed. Environment Abnormality Auto Shutdown (EAAS) initiated.

Replace the fan. Could be the fan is not operating at the required RPMs and this is a predictive failure.

i had this recently on a dl360
server was fine until the insight agents started up and then it would turn the fans off one at a time

in the end the only fix was to reapply the latest rom pack
assume it got screwed up somehow as that fixed it - god only knows why
