BCM 1000 with expander unit hooked up. Red light is on indicating alarm on fan. Both fans are working, one on the main unit and 1 on the expander unit...

What is the best process to fix this alarm ???

Replace the fan in the main unit. It may not be spining fast enough. Once replaced the light will go out.

So we need to take cover off the BCM 1000 and then remove the fan correct ??? Can you get a BCM 1000 fan or will a 400 fan fit ???

400 fan should fit.
maybe your alarm is for the internal CPU fan in the 400 ?
You should confirm this.

It's only dialtone-VZ

Not sure if motherboard is same as 400 but if so, there's a fan on it also. I once had to replace it after getting a fan alarm.
