Hello,

I have this SQL table as a datasource in CR XI.

Table A

Columns

Name Mom Dad

Tim Mary Dave
Mary Sue Rick
Rick Amy Bob
... and so on

I want to show the "family tree" of these people in a report like so.

--Sue
--Mary -- --Amy
--Rick --
Tim -- --Bob
--Dave

I guessing I need to make an array for this but I have not been able to find any solutions.

Thanks for your help.

You can add the same table more than once, as an 'alias'. Does that help?

Note that if you link A to B to C, then instances on A and B without a C will be missing unless you use a 'left outer'.

Also that left outer will stop working if you have a condition on table C, unless you allow for null values.

Madawc,

Thank you for your tip! Your solution works great and without any programming. I just needed to link the tables correctly.

Thanks Again!
