I'm running a Legend Rel 7 in my home. One of the CO ports is connected to a Fixed Wireless unit which provides a T&R pair for your landline phones (complete with a fake dial tone). AT&T's name for this device is "Wireless Home Phone". It works as expected, incoming/outgoing calls are no different than landlines (been working like this for over 2 years). Within the last month, whenever you hangup from a call, or pickup the line and then immediately hangup, the Legend briefly rings the line (one ring).
I tried switching Legend ports with a 'real' landline, and got the same behavior on the fixed wireless line. The landline didn't have this issue in the new port. I then tried plugging in a desk set directly into the fixed wireless unit (disconnecting the cable to the Legend), and the phone did not ring back.
I also tried plugging the Fixed Wireless line into my 1A2 KSU; I got the same behavior as the Legend. When I went off hook-on hook, the line key started flashing for the equivalent of one ring, however it did not trigger the common audible ringer.
I'm guessing that the cause is related to the Fixed Wireless unit. Anyone experience this situation?
Thanks for listening!
