Running NAVCE 7.5 on a Novell 5.0 server. I have a handful of NT4 clients who consistently show a virus alert in the SSC yet have no virus on the machine. I have purged the Quarrantine folder (not running a Quar. server) and all logs for all users of each pc, yet the false positives keep occuring randomly (not every problem pc shows up every day).
This started happening after installing SP6a on these machines followed by the MS RPC patch.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

try right clicking on the server listed in SSC then click refresh, when exiting say yes to saving the MMC

Does not always work for me but usually it does.

That's my usual proceedure. It's not helping this problem.
Any other ideas?

Did you purge the quarantine folder on the server and the pc? I had this problem with 7.6 and resolved it when I upgraded to 8.0 and setup central quarantine so I would only have to delete them from the server.

Yes, I have purged all logs and all Quar. folders. We're not running a quarantine server, so there's never anything in the server's Quar. folder (I have doublechecked, just to be sure). Quarantines only happen on the local machine.

Was this issue ever resolved? I think I might be experiencing the same problem. I'm using NAV 7.6 CE. Thanks in advance.

Nope, but most of the NT clients have been eliminated :)

I'm having a problem when i use system packager on certain workstations all of which are running nt4 ws. some of the work stations are giving me an authenication error when i try to deploy nav client to the workstation, while on others it seems to work fine. we are using symantec corporate edition 8.1. if i do a push install to the workstation from the ssc console to to workstation it works okay. the main reason i want to use the packager is that i need to install the nav client on the "d" partition, and the ssc install doesn't allow me to choose an install path.

thanks
