Hello. I am half knowledgeable, half clueless about picture editing (I've been doing it for 10 years but my boss is not receptive to funding necessary education). I don't even know the language to express the problem, so please see this image

Using version 5 for years, this had never been an issue: Now having PSP X, I find it shows images with a muted contrast and bluish color cast. Image "erase.jpg", for example (see screen shot), looks the same in ALL programs except PSP X, as the example shows. This being the case, I never know what the final product will look like when I work on an image in PSP X.

Can someone help me make sense of this and perhaps tweak thing so that there's no difference between PSP and other programs, keeping in mind, there's a lot I have not learned?

Cheers,
RJ

That did the job. And it was easy to find in the help file using the terms you provided. Thanks a million. Now to try this in photoshop too. Or does photoshop use different terms for this function?

Cheers!
RJ

The terms in Photoshop are the same, the only difference is that in Photoshop the color management actually works.
