I need to upgrade a PIX515E from a failover model to unrestricted, as I need to use it temporarily in isolation at a different location.

I've got two questions on this :

1. Is it just a software license upgrade I need to do this ?

2. Can it be reverted back to a failover model again afterwards, so I can put it back into the original location ? If not, can a fully licensed PIX work in failover mode as well, or can this only be done with a failover PIX ?

TIA.

Sorry, bit vague, the second yes meant, yes an UR pix can be used as a failover if required.

I have the same question actually. But only the first question. My PIX is in failover mode and every 24H it reboots. Anyone know what software/license i need. Would be glad if i can get a fast response.
